i like vanilla

you think you know your REAL friends are.

people who know you like vanilla ice cream over chocolate.

people who know the name of you first goldfish.

people who you have shared your fears and nightmares with

but sometimes you find out that

these people aren't really your friends at all

if you were to find yourself in trouble

are these people going to be standing there next to you?

or do they only seem to be around for the good times

when THEY have something to gain

and then sometimes you find out that some people

people you thought were mere acquaintances

people who you don't categorize under 'friends'

those are the people that will rescue you when your car won't start

when you've lost your keys & have no money on you

and it just started to rain

doesn't it make you wonder, at the end of the day

who your REAL friends are?
