I just got back from the Asian Medical Students Conference in Jakarta. I was pretty nervous int he beginning. What if the whole thing was crap? What if I don't meet any nice people? Am I wasting a week of Psychiatry by going? But then I realized that since I was going anyway, a more positive mindset wouldn't hurt. So I crossed my fingers and hoped for the best
It turned out that this conference is one of the highlights of my medical school experience so far. I met a bunch of the most inspiring and fun people ever and had tons of fun. I can't believe it but after just one week together we are all like family.
We even call Gisela (our group head) Mama!!
